The Louisville Zoo is good at a lot of things - and surprisingly, one of these things doesn't involve animals.
If you have elementary-school-aged kids of your own, nieces, nephews or neighbors, there is a good chance you've been to what the Louisville Zoo refers to as "The World's Largest Halloween Party."
Every October, the animal sanctuary gives it's residents a rest and turns it's several square miles into a fantasy land of costumed characters and free candy. Sure - some of these stops are the same year-after-year (Wizard of Oz, Super Hero City, hay bale maze) - but Halloween in general is really the same thing year after year... It is how well you do those things that counts. And the Zoo does them well.
The World's Largest Halloween Party continues it's run this weekend and next week (Ocotber 22-24 and 28-30) from 5p-8:30p. Make sure to take walking shoes and $5 if you want to park on the Zoo campus.
