Fun fact, Louisville. I know you know Derby season is coming up. Perhaps you have already purchased a fabulous hat. Some of you are in the midst of eating delicious fish sandwiches on Fridays. Maybe you have already broken a Lent promise of not cursing sometime during March Madness. But your resident sweet tooth is here to talk about the Jewish holiday of Passover and all the excitement that comes with it.
On Thursday, April 10th at 6:30 p.m., The Uniquely Jewish Event Series will be bringing to you a glorious Passover-inspired evening of libations, hors d’oeuvres, and a decadent dessert reception. The best part? This lavish affair will be taking place at The Wine Studio at 610 Magnolia. Sounds like the ideal kind of party. Thank you, Louisville Jewish Federation.
Join guest Chef Paula Shoyer who ventures all the way from Washington, D.C., where she trains others in French pastry and Jewish cooking (and believe me- Jewish cooking is positively scrumptious). Owner and operator of Paula’s Parisian Pastries Cooking School. Author of The Kosher Baker: 160 dairy-free desserts from traditional to trendy. Editor of two Kosher cookbooks: Kosher by Design Entertains and Kosher by Design Kids in the Kitchen. Even with appearances on Food Network’s Sweet Genius, Daytime and Martha Stewart Living, Shoyer clearly is a master of the culinary arts. I for one cannot wait to see what saccharine Passover concoctions she creates (while imbibing some sweet wine).
