Oktoberfest brings in the fall seasonal spirit at the German-American Club

This weekend you can enjoy the start of the fall season at the German-American Club's Oktoberfest. The German-American club is hosting their annual Oktoberfest this weekend, September 21-22. My husband and I have attended the Biergartens at the club over the summer, and we brought our kids with us. It was a great way to introduce to them some German food and German-style music. The Biergartens were held outside in their huge covered picnic area. Each one had live music and was very entertaining. This weekend’s Oktoberfest will host all three of their favorite bands: Gebhard Erler, Rheingold, and the Knappers.  The adults in your party can enjoy a German beer, a dance with a partner, and the food and music.  The kids in your party can enjoy the playground on the grounds, dancing to the music, and maybe sample a German-style pretzel or bratwurst.  Admission is $3; the fest opens at 5:00 p.m. http://www.german-americanclub.com/events.htm
