This North Carolina band mixes multi-part harmonies and traditional Appalachian sounds to make a sound that is uniquely theirs.

POP UP SHOW! HELADO NEGRO WITH JP SOURCE
YO! Join us for this pop up show at one of the newest event spaces (and dopest bars/restaurants) in the city, Galexie's Outer Space. Helado Negro and JP Source will be providing the tunes for the evening.
Thursday (10/22) -
Pimps of Joytime, Hank & Cupcakes
This metamorphic soul, funk, dance band is coming to town and we all should be excited. Having spent some time in both NOLA and Brooklyn, the Pimps of Joytime’s eclectic sound matches the diversity of places they have lived. It’s certainly going to be a lively Thursday night at Headliners.
Friday (10/23) -
Howell Dawdy, Lydia Burrell, Brenda
We absolutely love this lineup. To see both projects of Alex Smith in the same night will be something else - we are already blown away by the polarity of both acts, so seeing them back to back will be intense. Brenda is also a band that has gotten a lot of attention lately. They describe themselves as “shotgun house rock,” so yeah.
Randall Bramblett Band with Dog House Kitchen
The distinguished Randall Bramblett will be stopping by Headliners for one hell of a performance. The band’s most recent album, Devil Music, is described as one of Bramblett’s best, so expect to see some greatness.
Saturday (10/24) -
Rumor has it, this will be one of 1200’s last live shows for a while- his schedule shows the Louisville Music Awards in November and then nothing else until March. The first year teacher has had a lot going on and it sounds like he’s opted to slow down a little bit and wrangle the struggles of being a new teacher. What does that mean to you? You probably should come out to this show, which will likely be one of the last appropriate outdoor weather events of the year, as well. Also playing is local female super-group Maiden Radio - the group combines the impressive talents of Cheyenne Mize, Julia Purcell, and Joan Shelley.
This rapper is a staple on many college kids’ weekend playlists. Mercury Ballroom will play host to this 23-year-old talent, and I’m sure young Louisville will show up in droves.
Eroica: The Louisville Orchestra with Will Oldham, Jalin Roze, Dani Markham and Scott Moore
Talk about a conglomeration of some of the biggest names in Louisville’s hugely diverse music scene. Teddy Abrams and The Louisville Orchestra will be supplemented with Will Oldham’s (Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy) unmatched voice, Jalin Roze’s rapping, Dani Markham’s (tUnE-yArDs) beats and Scott Moore’s (23 String Band and Niles Foley) fiddling. This is definitely going to be a noteable evening for Louisville musicianship.
