Think of it as an updated Shakespearean play with plenty of double-entendres.  Pandora Productions will present Measure for Pleasure beginning tomorrow.

Measure for Pleasure performances will take place on Dec. 9, 10, 11, 12, 15, 16, 17, and 19 at 7:30 p.m. each night.  A matinee show will occur on Dec. 12 at 2 p.m.  All shows will take place in the Victor Jory Theatre at Actors Theatre, located at 316 West Main Street in downtown Louisville.

Tickets for the show are $15 in advance and $17 at the door. Purchase can be made by going to PandoraProds.org or by calling 502-216-5502. Keep in mind the show is not for children.

Measure for Pleasure is a cross between farce and Shakespearean play. Sir Peter Lustforth has feelings for the virgin Hermione despite being married.  It's those feelings that start situations involving a transvestite, womanizer, a romantic, and a puritan-type.

Michael J. Drury directed the production, and the cast includes Joe Hatfield, Mike Slaton, Zachary Burrell, Leah Roberts, Lucas Adams, Lynn Gregory, and Nancy Hoover.

Following Measure for Pleasure, Pandora Productions will present a youth project, which will involve The Louisville Youth Group and University of Louisville's LGBT office.  The resulting show will occur in January.  More information can be found at the Pandora Productions website.
