Howard Crabtree will be flying, Zanna will play matchmaker, and the Time Warp will be done again as part of Pandora Productions's 2010-2011 theatre sesaon.
Season ticket subscriptions are available for $70 per person. The subscription will include five shows, which are Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly, Measure for Pleasure, The Dinner, The New Century, and Zanna Don't. Subscribers will also have the chance to get discounted tickets for Rocky Horror Picture Show and attend a free staged reading Youth Project. Subscriptions can be purchased at the Pandora website.
Howard Crabtree's When Pigs Fly will open the season in September at the Victor Jory Theatre in Actors Theatre. The musical comedy involves a dream scenerio for Howard after he is told to take up other mundane activities instead of theatre as a career choice.
Rocky Horror Picture Show will follow with a series of shows around Halloween. The cult classic, to take place at the Clifton Center, features the classic storyline of Brad and Janet's night in mad scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter's castle. Classic songs, including Sweet Transvestite and The Time Warp, will be performed.
Following Rocky Horror, David Grimm's Measure for Pleasure will take place in the Victor Jory Theatre. The comedy and farce features a series of romantic, and otherwise, relationships among a romantic, a transvestite, a womanizer and others, during the year 1751.
In March, the comedy The Dinner, in Kentucky Center for the Arts's Mex Theatre, will occur. The production features two couples, of which one (Amy and Chris) has ended. The still-together couple attempt to help the situation by inviting Lauren, a single co-worker, to meet Chris at dinner. Unfortunately, Amy and her new beau also decide to crash said dinner.
The New Century, also taking place Victor Jory Theatre, will follow The Dinner in May. The comedy features Helene, who talks about her three gay sons in a Long Island group, Mr. Charles, who has created a cable TV show with his love Shane, and Barbara, a midwestern cake decorator who honors her gay son with her creations.
Finishing out the season in June 2011 will be Zanna Don't, set to take place at U of L's Thrust Theatre. In the production, the city of Heartsville considers homosexuality to be the accepted value over heterosexuality. Zanna plays matchmaker to help boys find boys and girls find girls but finds himself trying to protect a heterosexual couple that has also fallen in love.
