It's been a rainy, storm-brewing spring break week so far in and around Louisville and Kentuckiana. My daughter has been participating in a "Decorate Your Library" art program at the Jeffersontown Branch of the Louisville Free Public Library. Check out her art piece before she put the final touches on it. The art program was made possible through a partnership with the City of Jeffersontown, the Jeffersontown Museum, and the Jeffersontown Library.

Louisville Free Public Library locations and other area libraries around Kentuckiana finish out the spring break week strong. See these program samplings to inquire about participation now through Saturday, April 11.

    Fantastic Friday for Homeschoolers
"Come learn with us! Fantastic Friday is for homeschoolers ages 5 and up. Each month, we'll do an activity or have a guest speaker related to our topic. Then we'll turn it over to any children who would like to share a project or talk about a book they've read. No one is required to present and we aim for a fun, relaxed atmosphere." The website does indicate that the April meeting will take place at Carnegie Center for Art and History. Call 812-949-3528 for more information.

    About Erin Nevitt

Longtime Louisvillian, I am a children's librarian at heart and have a passion for children's lit. I am most recently a stay-at-home mom who is always on the move, searching for family fun in Louisville. If it's free, it's preferable!
