This evening, Tuesday, January 13 at 6:30pm, visit the Southwest Library (of Louisville Free Public Library), for a discussion and presentation about the design and construction of the newest public library in southwest Louisville. The discussion will be presented by architect Colin Drake, of JRA Architects of Louisville. He was the co-design architect for the Southwest Regional Library; along with architect Matt Kruntorad of Meyer Scherer & Rockcastle Ltd. of Minneapolis, they led the design team on the project.

The event this evening, entitled "Libraries of Our Future: The Story of the Architecture of the Southwest Regional Library" will captivate the audience and those who are intrigued by what libraries of the future will look like. It seems the future of public libraries is here at Louisville’s new Southwest Regional Library. Audience members will learn all about this award-winning building, from design to construction. The free lecture embraces the story behind the city's new Louisville landmark, which has earned accolades for its attention to being environmentally-friendly and leading a significant investment  in the surrounding area, and will definitely continue to meet the needs of this community well into the next century. Again, the program will begin at 6:30pm.

The Southwest Regional Library is located at 9725 Dixie Highway. Call 502-933-0029 for more information.
