Stewart Huff might be one of the most original comedians out there.  Born in Campbellsville, KY – Huff was raised in the hill crested vista of Knoxville, TN.  He’s a southern boy, with southern charm, through and through.  It’s the southern gentleman in him that makes him at the same time, both a rascal and an enigmatic storyteller.

Currently he resides in Atlanta, when he’s home at all, that is.  He spends nearly every week out on the road pin balling from one comedy club stage to the next, as one of the most in demand comedians on the club circuit.  This fact made him the subject of the 2009 documentary Road Comics:  Big Work on Small Stages.

He has performed in Louisville countless times, and he is an absolute crowd favorite.  He has also performed at the Boston Comedy Festival and the HBO Comedy Festival in Las Vegas.

Stewart Huff will be performing at The Laughing Derby, tonight and tomorrow night.  Times vary, and tickets are $15.  Jonathan Pfendler and Tim McClendon will also be on the shows.

    About Brent Owen

Born and raised in Louisville, I have lived here most of my life (except during a short furlough, when I, lovelorn and naive, followed a girl to Baton Rouge). My roots are here, my family, my friends, and my life are all here. I work primarily as a free-lance writer for a few local and regional publications. I have also written two books (one a memoir, the other a novel) that barring some divine intervention, will probably never see the light of day. I find myself deeply ingrained in the local bar scene, or perhaps better said, I often indulge in the local drinking culture. I love music, movies, comedy, and really just about any other live performance art.
