    Bit to Do

I moved to the Crescent Hill neighborhood a year ago and quickly learned that Crescent Hill residents love their neighborhood and like to talk about it. It didn’t take long for me to understand why.

There is something about the mix of urban and community atmosphere here. The thoroughfares are exercise and pet-friendly. There is a general pride in surroundings that such contentment brings with it that causes people to keep up their property and pick up trash. And Crescent Hill has much of the same charm and culture as the Highlands without the congestion.

If you are taken with Crescent Hill – or just curious about it – the neighborhood’s branch of the Louisville Free Public Library (2762 Frankfort Avenue) will host a historic show-and-tell of sorts tonight (September 30th) at 7pm to allow particularly prideful residents to show off historical photos and  artifacts that concern the neighborhood. The evening will be hosted by local historian Dr. John Findling, who is currently working on a book involving the history of the Crescent Hill area.
