Arguably her most enduring play, Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap will take the Derby Dinner Playhouse stage beginning tomorrow.
The Mousetrap will take place each day except Mondays from Oct. 9-Nov. 18. Evening shows begin at 7:45 p.m. with buffet opening at 6 p.m. Sunday matinees start at 1:30 p.m. with buffet beginning at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday matinees will start at 1 p.m. with buffet starting at 11:45 a.m. All performances are to happen at Derby Dinner Playhouse, located at 525 Marriott Ave. in Clarksville, IN.
Tickets for each show depend on the day. Wednesday matinees are $35 per person, Sunday matinees are $36 per person, Friday evening shows are $41, Saturday evening shows are $44, and all other evening shows are $40 per person. Tickets can be purchased at the Derby Dinner box office, the Derby Dinner website, or by calling the Playhouse at 812-288-2636. A murderer is on the loose in Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap. In 1950s London, a group of strangers wind up trapped in a boarding house during a major snowstorm. The strangers will wind up in a whodunnit, searching for clues after realizing one of them is a murderer.
Bekki Jo Schneider directed The Mousetrap for Derby Dinner Playhouse. The cast features Tina Jo Wallace as Mollie Ralston, Cary Wiger as Giles Ralston, Peter Ripple as Christopher Wren, David Myers as Major Metcalf, Janet Essenpreis as Miss Casewell, J.R. Stuart as Mr. Paravicini, and John Vessels as Detective Sergeant Trotter.
The Mousetrap is one of the longest running plays in history, running continuously since 1952 when it opened in the West End in London.
During The Mousetrap's run, the Derby Dinner children's theatre will present Captain Louie. That production will open on Saturday.
