Greater Louisville Outstanding Women (GLOW) is bringing a financial seminar series to young professionals this new year. The first of three seminars for 2015 is set for tomorrow evening, Thursday, January 15 at the University of Louisville.
The financial seminars are free and are being targeted and customized for young female professionals. Tomorrow's seminar is from 5:30pm-7pm at Ekstrom Library on UofL's campus. The seminar, entitled "Get Lit(eracy) with GLOW" is part of a three part series campaign that launched back in September of 2014. Holly Houston, Director of GLOW and a Kentucky family court lawyer here in Louisville says, “Our members, through their own experiences, believe that women with financial know-how make better business decisions. These same members will take this time to share what they’ve learned in these experiences and correlate it to their knowledge about money and business.”
Tomorrow evening's seminar will feature a panel of outstanding women, including a CPA, broker, corporate lawyer, financial planner and veteran woman business owner. Houston also says that “the goal of this financial series is to enable young professionals to make smart decisions regarding their business and money they put in to it. The members of GLOW couldn’t be more excited to teach what they know and, in turn, enable smarter choices and smarter women.” This GLOW financial seminar will take place starting at 5:30pm in the Chao Auditorium in Ekstrom Library. The event is free, but attendees should register online in advance. Click here to do so.
