    Centerstage is set to present its final show of the season on Thursday, the farce A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.  

    Performances of A Funny Thing Happened... will occur on May 12, 14, 16, 19, and 21 at 7:30 p.m.  Shows on May 15 and 22 will go on at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. each day.  All shows are to happen at Centerstage, located in the Jewish Community Center of Louisville at 3600 Dutchmans Lane in the Highlands.  

    Tickets for the show are $18 per person.  All tickets can be purchased at the box office or by calling the JCC of Louisville at 502-459-0660.  More information can be found at the Centerstage website.

    A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum features a slave trying to win his freedom via helping his master gain the affections of a girl.  The farce is set 200 years before Christianity in Rome.  

    Stephen Sondheim created the production's music and lyrics while Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart created the book.  A Funny Thing Happened is based on the works of Plautus.
