Knights, a damsel in distress (or is she), prisoners, and Don Quixote. All of these things can be found in the Centerstage musical Man of La Mancha, which opens tomorrow night.
Man of La Mancha performances will occur on Jan. 13, 15, 20, 22, 24, 27, and 29 at 7:30 p.m. each night. Another evening performance on Jan. 23 will be at 7 p.m. Matinee shows will go on at 2 p.m. on Jan. 16, 23, and 30. There are no Friday performances. All performances will occur at the JCC of Louisville, 3600 Dutchmans Lane, in the Highlands.

Man of La Mancha features the classic character Don Quixote, a supposed knight looking to save Dulcinea and have her fall in love with him. The story is told by Cervantes, a prisoner who is performing the play alongside other prisoners in a mock trial.
Dale Wasserman wrote Man of La Mancha, which features Mitch Leigh's music and Joe Darion's lyrics. John Leffert directed the production for Centerstage.
Following Man of La Mancha, Centerstage will present The Music Man. Performances will take place in March.
