Looking to feed your sweet tooth with a smile on your face? Later this summer you will be able to do just that. The Fudgery, a worldwide candy store famous not only for its homemade fudge, but also for its singing workers, will be coming to 4th Street Live! this summer.
Even if you aren’t a fudge lover, there is no reason you can’t love The Fudgery. The store recently started to make other sweet treats including caramel apples, gourmet dessert sauces and milk shakes. I have a feeling you won’t leave this place dissatisfied.
The Fudgery first opened in 1980 in the Outer Banks of North Carolina and, due to its success, spread throughout the world from there. The Fudgery prides itself on using only the finest ingredients in its products and, of course, in hiring only the best, most entertaining workers. These are not your typical workers next door who like to sing in the shower. No, the show tune-singing workers at the Fudgery are actually quite good at making both fudge and beautiful music. In fact, R&B group Dru Hill and Hip-Hop sensation Sisqo are The Fudgery veterans who were actually discovered in the store.
The Fudgery workers and singers are selected in a process that includes both interviews and auditions. Since music is part of the reason The Fudgery is so famous, they want to make sure that their workers can really sing. If you are interested in working for The Fudgery when it comes to 4th Street, send your information to Louisville@fudgeryfudge.com. Interviews and auditions for prospective workers will be held later this summer.
So why did 4th Street get picked for The Fudgery’s new location? Owner and creator of the store, A.C. Marshall, stated that 4th Street was chosen due to its positive energy and focus on entertainment. He feels that the store will fit in perfectly with 4th Street’s lively environment; we completely agree.
