The Bard's Town has really helped to create a local boom in comedy. There are comedy shows there several weekends per month and a couple of weekly open mics.
The long standing open mic "Louisville Comedy Underground" has recently moved from the Comedy Caravan over to the Bard's Town. It is on Thursdays and Sundays at 9 p.m. Comedians seeking stage time should arrive at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $5
The Young, Dumb, and Full of Comedy show hosted by Raanan Herschberg is a free and is there every other Friday at 9:30 p.m.. (Next one is July 8)
Blacklisted comedy hosted by Ed Black and Tony King is a comedy show that moves from venue to venue but is at the Bard's Town monthly.
Robert Morgan hosts a free weekly open mic on Tuesdays that attracts Local comedians and a occasional musician or poet. Sign ups are at 7:30 p.m. and show starts at 8 p.m. Performers get 5 minutes but also get an additional minute for each guest they bring with them. I recently attended one and assembled a few video clips of comedians riffing on Louisville or Kentucky..and a few other things.
