The Forecastle Festival 2010 will have some indie rock bands and some punk rock bands, and then there will be Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, who are known for being a danceable mix of the two genres.  The band is coming off of their new album, The Brutalist Bricks, which dropped in March.  This album is Ted Leo’s first album with the new line-up , which you will see performing at the festival (this album has the addition of James Canty on guitar, and Marty Key has replaced Dave Lerner on bass). Ted Leo started the band as a solo project in 1999, and he is the "creative director," so to speak.

Ted Leo recently posted a facebook comment that the band was canceling some shows and rescheduling others this week due to a family emergency, but Forecastle goers have lucked out and missed the ax.  Ted Leo and the Pharmacists will be performing at the East Stage on Sunday, July 11 at 9:40pm.
