He loves his white shoes, his groovy buttons, his magic sunglasses, and loves to rock in his cool school shoes. He takes all kinds of adventures, and he’s making his way to Louisville this time. Children, parents, and families will be greeted by the infamous cat, Pete the Cat, this Friday evening as he greets and welcomes guests to an after-hours celebration at the Main Library in downtown Louisville.

Joining Pete the Cat will be members of the University of Louisville Women’s Soccer Team, the Brown School Jazz Band, and Metro Animal Services will be bringing some furry kittens and cats to meet and greet as well. There will be plenty of activities for families during the two hours, including crafts, games, and stories. Since it ends at 8pm, there will be ample amount of time for families to make it home to that other game that seems to have the city in high anticipation.

The Library will close at its normal time Friday evening, at 5pm, then reopen at 6pm for the event. The Main Library is located at 301 York Street.
