    Check out all the library fun into the weekend and next week at area local libraries!

    Storytimes: Just about each day of the week there are offerings of baby, toddler, preschool, and family storytimes. Check out the Louisville Free Public Library calendar for specific dates and times.

    Special Events:

    There is a Preschool Party at the Main Library downtown on  Saturday December 13, at 10am. The Main Library is located at 301 York Street.

    Santa Claus is visiting the children's library at New Albany-Floyd County Public Library on Sat December 13 starting at 1pm. Balloon animals, Christmas tree craft ornament, and cookies and juice provided.

    Take part in a Winter Playdate Session at the St. Matthews Library on Monday December 15 from 2:30-3:30pm. The library is located at 3940 Grandview Avenue.

    Visit the Book Fair on Monday, December 15 at the Barnes and Noble at The Paddock Shops and support the Oldham County Public Library. Show an OCPL book fair voucher and part of your purchase proceeds will directly benefit the library. The book fair is going on 10am-10pm, and you can have your purchases wrapped for free from 10am-9pm.  

    Arts and Crafts:

    Drop in to make ornaments and other holiday crafts at the Little Elves Ornament making at Fairdale Library daily through December 24. The library is located at 10620 W. Manslick Road.

    Make Your Own Christmas Ornament at Jeffersontown Library on Tuesday December 16 from 6-7pm. The library is located at 10635 Watterson Trail.

    Are you looking for gift recommendations for the book lovers on your list? Send an email to the library folks at Bullitt County Public Library telling them a few things (age, hobbies, etc.) about the person you are buying for, and they will suggest a book (or two!) for you. Simply e-mail your information to reference@bcplib.org with the subject line HOLIDAY GIFT IDEAS. Now that's some service!
