Louisville Speed Dating is taking over Westport Whiskey and Wine Monday, May 10.
Now that the out of towners have gone home, it's time for Louisville singles to show that nationally famous hospitality to one another.
People say this is a hard town for singles. Folks here either marry young or go out of state for college and come back with a spouse and kid when they're ready to settle down. That means the ambitious Louisvillians who put everything into school and their early career have a little harder time meeting people than in, say, Austin (a city our size which also prides itself on keeping things weird), where young professionals flock for career opportunities before settling down.
The bad news is that means our city is full of established families. The good news is that means the singles you meet who have stayed here are more interested in a relationship than a fling.
