    Bit to Do

Light up those twinkling lights, Westport Village style

Light Up The Village is set to brighten up the night at Westport Village this evening, Friday, November 30 from 6-9pm. Families will enjoy fireworks, train rides, live music, a parade, and visits with Santa. Much like other light-ups around Louisville, it’s an evening spectacular that illuminates the darkness and the hearts of all.

Starting at 6pm, the band Crushed Velvet starts rocking some entertainment. The parade into the Village starts at 6:15pm, and Santa arrives as fireworks light up the sky at 6:30pm. The weather forecast shouldn’t put too much of a damper on the festivities, with no rain predicted and warmer than normal temps.

There will be some specials to be found around the Village as well. J Higgins Gallery will be hosting a Jeaneen Barnhart showcase. Summer Classics Louisville will have 40% off all of their Christmas items. Clater Jewelers will host their annual holiday open house, serving cookies, hot cider. And Westport Whiskey & Wine will have a wine and spirits tasting for $5 per person.

Take part in the holiday cheer this last night of November and usher in the Christmas season while shopping and dining at Westport Village, located at 1315 Herr Lane. Shop locally and find very unique gifts for those on your list.
