    Bit to Do

“Looks like the storm is clear. For a second, looked like we weren’t even going to get to play” the Dawes Band said as they took the stage Friday evening at Forecastle. They let the crowd know they were glad they were still going to perform after the thunderstorm threat and mandatory festival evacuation.

From the conversation in the crowd, everyone was not pleased that Dawes did not get their entire time to play. But they still sang along and enjoyed the band’s hit songs that they did get the chance to play, like “Most People.” Lead singer Taylor Goldsmith’s smooth, mellow voice calmed the crowd, and assured everyone that the Forecastle Music Festival was back on and ready to roll.

According to the post that Dawes made on their Facebook page Saturday “Forecastle Festival, We’re Ready” they were ready to entertain Kentuckiana, and I sure am glad they got the chance to!
