    Bit to Do

    Ordinary People

The lives of three family members are impacted by the death of the oldest son in Ordinary People, set to open tonight at St. Mark's.

Ordinary People will take place Dec. 6-10 at 8 p.m. each night, and a matinee will go on Dec. 11 at 2 p.m.  All performances are to happen at St. Mark's United Church of Christ, located at 222 East Spring Street in New Albany, IN.

Tickets for each show are $10 per person, which proceeds going towards St. Mark's Capital Campaign and House of Ruth.  Tickets can be purchased by phone by calling 502-509-1114.  More information on the show can be found at the group's Facebook page.

Ordinary People looks at the reactions of family members following the death of an older son.  Relationships are fractured between the bitter mother, guilt-carrying younger son, and a good-natured father.

J.R. Stuart directed the Nancy Gilsernan-Judith Guest drama.  Stuart is in the play alongside Kyle Braun, Tom Trudgeon, Tiffany Taylor, Phillip Rivera, Drew Cash, Julie Marie Streble, Lindsay Vincent, and Gabe Vanover.
