Young the Giant had an amazing and fantastic performance at Forecastle. They’ve been in the studio recording and haven’t performed live in a while. Luckily, they decided played at Forecastle! They played on the Boom Stage, next to Joe’s Crab Shack. The sun set as they entertained the crowd, and it was a beautiful scene. However, it was not as beautiful as the fireworks that burst over the Ohio River as night fell. Lead singer, Sameer Gadhia, jokingly said that he could see the fireworks reflecting off of a neighboring building. They tweeted, “thanks for the fireworks..had a great time! what a lovely festival you have going there.” Young the Giant’s playlist included: “Cough Syrup,” “My Body,” “Guns Out,” and “Apartment.” Young the Giant is a band worth seeing, and I recommend going to a live show in the future.
