A wealthy man is hanged in Haiti, and the audience must figure out whodunnit. The Whodunnit Murder Mystery Theater production of Halloween in Haiti: The Hanged Man Sings opens tomorrow.
Halloween in Haiti: The Hanged Man Sings will run each Saturday (except Oct. 8) from Sept. 10-Oct. 29. Seating for Halloween in Haiti will begin at 6:30 p.m. with the show starting at 7 p.m. The Oct. 9 Sunday brunch show will begin seating at 12:30 p.m. with the show going on at 1 p.m. All performances will commence at the downtown Hyatt Regency hotel, located at 320 W. Jefferson Street.
Tickets for each show are $43.95 per person, which includes the show, dinner, tax, and gratuity. Advance reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 502-426-7100. More information on the show can be found at the Whodunnit website.
Dinner options include bourbon barbecued chicken, vegetarian manicotti,or beef stroganoff. For the Sunday brunch, guests can have buffet choices of eggs, bacon, bagels, stroganoff, and other items.
Halloween in Haiti: The Hanged Man Sings features a rather well-off man who has been hanged. Which is appropriate, considering its the Day of the Dead in 1937 Port-au-Prince. Now, it is up to the audience to figure out who killed the man.
The audience can figure out the suspect by literally talking to the household members. During parts of the show, they will roam the audience tables, taking questions. The members must either tell the truth or evade the question.
The Halloween in Haiti cast includes Graham Bell (who also wrote the production), John Collins, A.J. Green, Jeff McQueen, Ann S. Waterman, and Karen Wilson. Niles Welch directed and produced the production. Judy Crippin provided costume and makeup.
