No stock brokers needed in order to determine suspects in Murders and Acquisitions, which Whodunnit Murder Mystery Theater will perform for one night only this Saturday.

Whodunnit Murder Mystery Theater will present Murders and Acquisitions as part of its fundraising event on Saturday night, which begins at 6:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency downtown, located at 320 West Jefferson Street in Louisville.

Besides the show, the gala, which is taking place in part due to the loss of a Kentucky Arts Council grant, will include: a dinner consisting of petit filet and stuffed chicken, a silent auction, a preview of the murder mystery Reflections: Murder in the Hall of Mirrors, and a meet and greet with Whodunnit's serial crime solver, among other events.

Tickets for the fundraiser are $90 per person for those needing tables for two, three, or four people.  Groups of five or more are $80 per person.  Because Whodunnit is a not-for-profit, up to $30 of the ticket price may be tax deductible.  Seats can be reserved by calling 502-426-7100.

In the production, corporate finance, and all of its rivalries and illicit love affairs, is turned on its head as a suspect looks to carry out a murderous plot.  Audience members will determine the correct suspect.

The Murders and Acquisitions suspects/actors include Graham Bell, Allen Weller, Kathie Davis, Jared White, and Erica Goldsmith.  Niles Which directed the production, which A.S. Waterman created.

The fundraising gala is a precursor to the upcoming Whodunnit Murder Mystery Theatre 2011-2012 season, which begins with Halloween in Haiti: The Hanged Man Sings in September.  Season tickets are available by calling 502-426-7100.  More information on the Whodunnit Murder Mystery Theater can be found at its website.
