    Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular 
    The Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is from October 8 – November 1, will be held in Iroquois Park with 5,000 carved pumpkins lining a ¼-mile walking trail, illuminated at night as an art show daily from dusk to 11 p.m. during the week (Sun. - Thurs.) and midnight on Fri. - Sat.

    Dress for Success 
    Dress for Success Louisville is celebrating their 15th Anniversary at this new, annual event featuring Women of Distinction from the community and spotlighting amazing women from our program. All proceeds from the event go to support the programs of Dress for Success Louisville for the women served throughout the community.

    Tower Awards for Women Leaders
    The Tower Awards is an annual mission-driven event honoring women leaders in their fields and highlighting the contributions and talents of these role models to Presentation Academy students and the Louisville community.

    Harvest Homecoming 2015
    Harvest Homecoming is a collection of festival events held in and around New Albany, Indiana every year. A full list of festival events can be found here. Craft and food booth days for Harvest Homecoming will be held this weekend.

    Axton Reading Series - Frank X Walker
    The English department’s creative writing program brings in distinguished writers through the Anne and William Axton Reading Series of free literary events. Frank X Walker, 2013-14 Kentucky poet laureate, Affrilachian Poets co-founder and University of Kentucky professor, will read from his works at 7:30 p.m. in Bingham Poetry Room, Ekstrom Library. His six poetry collections include “Turn Me Loose: The Unghosting of Medgar Evers,” winner of the 2014 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Poetry, and “Buffalo Dance: The Journey of York.”

    Outskirts Festival 2015
    The Louisville Outskirts Festival is a not-for-profit, volunteer-run weekend of musical performances, educational workshops, and community building. The festival seeks to encourage, support, inspire, and highlight the music made by women* of Louisville’s independent music scene as well as showcase influential and inspiring musicians selected from other parts of the country and world.

    3rd Annual Butchertown Porktoberfest
    This pork inspired culinary competition will feature live music by Relic, local brew from Apocalypse Brew Works, cocktails from Copper & Kings, and food from Louisville's finest restaurants (vegetarian options also available). Admission is $2 and covers your first taste, and all proceeds from food/beverage tickets will benefit the Butchertown Neighborhood Association Inc. Event will be held rain or shine. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample food from several local spots that have not yet opened their doors, including Royal's Hot Chicken, Red Hog Tapas and Commonwealth Cured. Other participating restaurants include Feast, Toonerville Deli, Gralehaus, Rye, Galaxie, and Wiltshire.

    Bourbon Splash
    Join Kentucky Waterways Alliance for their third annual fundraising gala, Bourbon Splash! With a farm-to-table menu, "bourbon jazz" band Billy Goat Strut Revue, and silent auction items you won't want to miss, this is fall's most FUN fundraiser.

    21st Annual Belknap Fall Festival
    This year’s festival will be held October 9-10, 2015, at the historic Douglass Loop. The weekend will feature talented local artists, live music headlined by Wax Fang, neighborhood food trucks, and a beer garden pouring some of Louisville’s own brews. This year's highlights include the Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest Beer Garden and a petting zoo for the kids! Bring your family and friends to enjoy a Belknap tradition!

    Garvin Gate Blues Festival
    The 20th anniversary of Garvin Gate Blues Festival is "A Tribute to Muddy Waters and Chicago Blues". Garvin Gate Blues Festival is an annual two-day arts and music festival in the Old Louisville neighborhood of Louisville, KY. It features local and national performers and is considered to be one of the most prestigious blues festivals between Chicago and Mississippi. 

    Oak Street and Garvin Place will both be closed off to traffic for two days while bands perform on one of our two stages. In addition to the live entertainment the festival has an array of food and drink vendors, along with over 50 crafts booths. Nearby off-street parking is available on a first-come basis.

    Due to the large crowds we ask that you leave your pets at home, service dogs only, and please, no coolers, cans, or bottles in the festival area. Supporting our parking lot on Fourth Street and our food and drink vendors within the festival area goes a long way to help pay for this free event.

    Botanica's reGeneration Fair
    Enjoy an afternoon of sustainable fun! Come see – and celebrate – the transformation of neglected green space in Butchertown into the thriving Waterfront Botanical Gardens. Enjoy live music, food trucks, beer and demonstrations about bees, butterflies, bugs, mushrooms, compost and more.     20th Annual Susan G. Komen Louisville Race for the Cure
    A 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run fundraiser to fight breast cancer, the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Series raises significant funds and awareness for the breast cancer movement, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.

    Ironman Louisville
    Join thousands of sports fans to witness the 9th annual Ironman Louisville! More than 2500 athletes will transition from a 2.4 mile swim in the Ohio River to a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run at Waterfront Park. Athletes from around the world will compete in the world's most challenging endurance event, pushing their mental and physical limits to reach the finish line at 4th Street Live! Be a part of the Ironman experience!

    Farmington’s 15th Annual Harvest Festival
