    Concerts are for people who love live music, art fairs are for people who appreciate visual art and bourbon events are for people who are proud to drink Kentucky’s signature spirit. If you fall into that last category, this list of upcoming bourbon events is for you.

     

    The Ohio River Surf Club Presents: Kentiki
    June 3; 8pm – Midnight
    Copper & Kings American Brandy Distillery

    Nothing says summertime like having a fruity cocktail on the beach. But since we’re in Kentucky with no real beach in sight, we’re improvising with bourbon tiki drinks and a surf band that goes by the name of Inertia. Hula attire is highly suggested. Admission is $10 at the door.

     

    Cocktails for a Cure
    June 9; 6pm – 9pm
    Copper & Kings American Brandy Distillery

    Support the fight against cancer with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life as ten of Louisville’s most skillful bartenders compete in a unique cocktail competition. A portion of ticket sales will go to support the American Cancer Society and each will include ten drink tickets. There will also be an open bar at the event that will be serving up ice cold beers for $2 each. Buy your tickets here.

     

    The Kentucky Bourbon Affair
    June 14-19
    Various Locations throughout Louisville

    If you ever miss those blissful childhood summers spent at camp, this is everything your childlike adult soul needs this summer. This is summertime bourbon boot camp, people. Ticket holders of this event will be given a roster of bourbon tastings, distillery tours and cocktail classes among other bourbon events taking place throughout the entire week. And for those who just aren’t day campers, tickets to all of these events can be purchased a la carte. Check out the schedule and buy your tickets here.

     

    Back Porch Sessions at Rye
    June 16; 5pm
    Rye on Market

    If you like delicious food, live music by local musicians and Larceny Bourbon, bring your friends to Rye for its June Back Porch Session. Local bands Graffiti, The Foxery and Twenty-First Century Fox will begin performing at 7pm and food and bourbon will be served starting at 5pm. Admission is free!     Blade & Bow Field Supper
    June 17, 7pm – 10pm
    Stitzel-Weller Distillery

    Enjoy a delicious three-course dinner prepared by Wiltshire Pantry along with original Blade & Bow cocktails concocted by Hawthorne Beverage Group under the stars at this beautiful local distillery. A tour of the facility along with a lesson on Blade & Bow’s craft will also be provided. This event is on The Kentucky Bourbon Affair’s roster, however single tickets to this event only are available here

     

    Meeting of the Bourbon Brotherhood 
    June 22; 5:30pm - 7:30pm
    Oxmoor Country Club

    If you're a man who likes bourbon and enjoys hanging out with other men who also like bourbon, the Bourbon Brotherhood is for you. This group of bourbon-loving men meet at various places around Louisville several times each year to taste and discuss new bourbons. This particular meeting will focus on Calumet, Lexington and Bird Dog bourbons plus Crossfire cigars. For more information on how to attend, visit the Bourbon Brotherhood's website
