    Wine dinners have become increasingly popular in Louisville over the past few months, mostly because they're fun and because the chefs get a great deal of room for creativity, which makes each one exciting and unique. Also, they are an incredible marketing tool for wineries looking to connect with potential customers. 

    If you haven't been able to attend a wine dinner around town yet, I recommend starting at Varanese on Tuesday, April 23rd, at 6:30 PM with their Alta Vista wine dinner! Richard Wethington, the District Manager for Republic National Beverage Company, will be the guest speaker, and each of the 6 courses will be lovingly prepared by Louisville's culinary star, Chef John Varanese, and his highly skilled team.

    The Menu

     

    1st Course

    Scallop Ceviche with Sour Orange-Lime Marmalade, Blood Orange Fluid Gel,

    Micro Cilantro, and Coriander-Honey Sheet

     

    2nd Course

    Artesian Greens Topped with Baked Brie and Cashews 

    Drizzled with Cherry-Balsamic Vinaigrette

     

    3rd Course

    Roasted Pulled Chicken with Chimichurri, Crispy Yukon Gold Potatoes, and Pickled Red Onions

     

    4th Course

    Spice-Rubbed Pork Carnitas with Chili-Roasted Sweet Potatoes and Blueberry-Jalapeño Demi

     

    5th Course

    Lamb and Cassava Root Empanadas served with Cucumber-Tomato Salad and Snow Pea Tendrils

     

    Dessert

    Chocolate-Raspberry Cake with Chocolate Custard

    Served with Chipotle, Cinnamon, and Goat Cheese Ice Cream

     

    The cost to attend is $65 per person plus tax and gratuities.
