Bollywood dance numbers, mudfights, funerals, and weddings help to explore the institution of marriage in A Perfect Wedding, which opens tonight at U of L.

Performances will go on March 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 at 8 p.m. each night.  A matinee show will take place on March 6 at 3 p.m.  All performances will occur at The Playhouse, located on the U of L campus at 1911 S. Third Street.  (It's the white church-like building on the corner.)

Tickets for the show are $12 for general admission, $8 for students, and $8 for seniors.  Tickets can be purchased at the U of L box office or calling the box office at 502-852-6814.  Information on the show can be found at the U of L theatre arts website.

A Perfect Wedding is a comedy that deals with the institution of marriage through a variety of characters and settings.  Among these include a funeral, a mudfight, and a Bollywood-style dance number.

Amy Steiger directed A Perfect Wedding, which Charles Mee created.  The cast includes Triza Cox, Natalie Combs, Jared White, Archana Khommineni, Tad Timberlake, Conrad Newman, James Thompson, Nick Potter, Gary Brice, Kelly Anne Bunch, Janelle Hunnicutt, Lanisha Gholston, Stephanie FitzSimon, Kaitlin Westbrook, Collin Sage, Beth Tantanella, Nadeem Zaman, Matt Elzy, Cara McHugh, and Lauren Street.

Following A Perfect Wedding, U of L will present How Orisanmi Chose His Head.  That production will take place in April.
