Watch, listen, or participate in a discussion regarding marriage and cultural difference during the reading of A Perfect Wedding tomorrow in downtown Louisville.
A Perfect Wedding's reading will take place at the main branch of the Louisville Free Public Library, located at 301 York Street in downtown Louisville. The reading will begin at noon in the downstairs Centennial Room.
Audience members can volunteer to read the script, which can be found at this website, discuss the issues in the play or just listen. There will even be a live Livestream webcast, accessible for free at this website.
Charles Mee's A Perfect Wedding features an in and out of love couple that deals with human relationships, a mud fight, wedding, funeral, and a Bollywood dance number - all while getting lost in the woods. During the play, issues and attitudes of marriage equality and cultural differences are explored.
The reading is part of the Acting, Performance and Community class at the University of Louisville. More information on the class can be found in this blog. A Perfect Wedding, meanwhile, will head to the mainstage at U of L in March 2011.
