Right off the top of my head, I can’t think of a married couple that has managed to sustain the ups and downs of working together.  I’m not sure I could personally work with a spouse, if I had one, but I would imagine it to be even more difficult being in a band with one.  Well Whitehorse has shown just the opposite and pulls it off with seeming ease, having notched 2 studio albums under their belt and are in the midst of a successful tour!

Tonight at the lovely Clifton Center, WFPK brings us another stellar lineup with Whitehorse and Justin Paul Lewis opening.  Whitehorse first popped on my radar a while ago with a stellar cover of The Boss’s “I’m on Fire’, but their latest album, The Fate of the World Depends on This Kiss, carries on their vintage-folky-blues sound in strong fashion.  ‘Peterbilt Coalmine’ is a prime example, has been getting some more play lately on WFPK, and is great track all around.  I’m particularly looking forward to seeing them live as it’s my first time and I hope they aren’t gentle.

We can all look forward to a really fun night, doors open at 6:30, it’s FREE (yep), Justin Paul Lewis kicks off at 7:30, and hope to see you all there!  Be sure and bring some canned goods for Dare to Care as well during this holiday season!
