First of all, well done everyone.  People were suited up, there was some costume action, it was a great turnout, and even Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler was impressed by those decked out near the stage.  One thing Arcade Fire always does well is get the crowd involved, and it truly makes for a better experience for everyone.  As at the Madison Square Garden show, the closest part of the crowd was standing room General Admission and it made the Yum! feel as intimate as Headliners.

To kick things off. Arcade Fire rose from the back stage with an acoustic version of "My Body is a Cage," but that was by far the calmest song they performed.  After sneaking to the main stage after, they continued to bang out with 7 of the 20 songs played coming off their newest release Reflektor.  A most gracious and humble bunch, the energy they put out reflected (see what I did there) anything but.  They owned the stage with star power that rivals pop superstars, while repeatedly thanking the exuberant crowd for their enthusiasm and marveling all the snazzy attire.

While I'm a fan of the new album, nothing beats the old stuff for me. Songs from "The Suburbs" to "Keep the Car Running" to the "Wake Up" finale, all was simply remarkable.  While throwing in a Stones cover of "The Last Time" the range at which they operated since the start of the show was impressive.

Like an immature frat boy, Arcade Fire gets better with age and I don't see them slowing down anytime soon.  HUGE thanks to the Yum! Center for the floor access and Arcade Fire for honoring the city by kicking off their global tour with us.  Certainly catch them again when you can.
