PechaKucha is a unique event in which artists and designers showcase their work through 20 images in 20 seconds. Although Louisville's first PechaKucha took place only a few months ago, the event is returning for a second round tonight at the 21c Museum Hotel.
Tonight's speakers include Gill Holland, Bruce Ucan, Zach Hart, Patrick Piuma, Aron Conaway, William Benton, Valerie Fuchs, Maria Koetter, Keith Stone, John Faulkner, Karen Welch, Steven Ward and Consuming Louisville's Michelle Jones.
From the website:
"A Pecha Kucha is an evening of creative people presenting interesting ideas in unique places. It’s a knowledge and thought sharing revolution that is taking place in communities around the world through local organizing efforts. A Pecha Kucha evening consists of around a dozen brief lectures delivered in rapid succession with each presenter given twenty slide images to advance a story or idea. Each slide is viewed for exactly 20 seconds. Think of it as speed lectures where each "professor" only has 400 seconds before the next "professor" begins."
PechaKucha Louisville #2 starts tonight at 8 P.M. The event is free, but donations are always accepted.
