Kentucky Shakespeare Festival presents a tale of love, wrestling, and escape in performances of As You Like It, which begin tonight.

As You Like It will open tonight, June 28, and run each day except Mondays until July 10.  Pre-shows are at 7:30 p.m. while As You Like It will go on at 8:30 p.m.

The show is free to attend and is located in Central Park at the corner of 4th and Magnolia streets in the Old Louisville section.  Be sure to bring the lawn chairs and bug spray as this is an outdoor event.

As You Like It features disguises, love, a threat to one's life, and a faceoff between two foes.  Orlando, a nobleman, finds himself on the run after he defeats a wrestler from Duke Frederick's court.  Oliver, Orlando's brother who denied Orlando many of his nobleman rights, leads a charge to find him.

Meanwhile, Rosalind is on the run after Orlando and her fall in love and she is banned from Duke Frederick's court.

Following As You Like It, the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival will present Two Gentlemen of Verona.  The production will open on July 14.  More information can be found at the Kentucky Shakespeare website.
