The 10th Annual Peak Summit Groove and Dance Festival will descend upon “Arena Row” on Friday & Saturday, August 19th & 20th from 8:00pm – 3:00am each night.  Included in a weekend pass is a grand finale afterparty on Sunday, August 21st at Headliners Music Hall at 8pm.

This year’s line-up presents a cross-section of popular dance music (from fully acoustic to fully electronic) with over 25 acts on 6 stages at 4 Main Street venues next to the Yum! Center.

Tickets are available on www.peaksummit.com and are $20 for a 3-day pass (which includes admission to all concerts, all weekend). In addition to music and comedy, this festival honors the launch of Black & Grey Magazine with a runway/fashion show and celebrity/model appearances.  Also featured is a 40-artist visual exhibit, curated by Andy & Kelly Cook, Bill McAvinue and Tim Faulkner Gallery.

“This event has seen great success in other locations, so we’re thrilled to work with Main Street businesses this time around,” says event producer Myron Koch. “The vibrant energy of downtown Louisville’s arts & entertainment district is unmatched in any other part of the state.  There are so many neighboring galleries, venues, and restaurants down there that a Peak Summit Festival will feel right at home.”

The festival will showcase all local/regional entertainment, including new-fame acts like Vessel, Booty Sweat and Canago,  Louisville staples like Edgehill Avenue, WFPK’s DJ Matt Anthony, and a few fun tribute bands. The six venues hosting the festival are Impellizari's, Bearno's By the Bridge, BBC on 3rd St. and the Main St. Tavern. The grand finale party on Sunday is at Headliner's Music Hall. All performances at all venues are included in the ticket price.

There will also be other special occurrences, like a cornhole tournament at Main Street Tavern, a “mystery stage” at BBC (featuring un-scheduled surprise acts), art exhibits at Bearno’s and Impellizzeri’s, comedians between acts, an all acoustic stage in BBC’s newly swanked-out VIP lounge, and I will be doing a quick appearance at Bearno's at 9 p.m. Friday.
