We see you appreciate a good vintage. But there comes a time to try something new. Click here to head over to the redesigned Louisville.com. It's where you'll find all of our latest work. And plenty of the good ol' stuff, too, looking better than ever.

    Bit to Do

Go ahead and skip breakfast and lunch this Sunday because the Clifton Center (2117 Payne St.) is hosting the Taste of Frankfort Avenue from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. For $40, gluttons can sample food from 27 Frankfort Avenue-area restaurants, including Conez & Coneyz, Nancy's Bagel Grounds, Bourbons Bistro, It's All Greek to Me, North End Cafe and Zen Garden. Added bonus: wine and beer samplings. One of the menu's must-try items, it's worth mentioning, are the stuffed grape leafs from Varanese. (No, I don't know why Frankfort Avenue's Basa — arguably Louisville's best restaurant — isn't participating.)

The event will take place on the building's first two floors, and those in attendance can mingle with the chefs. Proceeds benefit the Clifton Center, but that doesn't exactly make it clear why a three-carat blue topaz necklace is being auctioned off at a food event. However, there is a raffle I can get behind: A $10 ticket gives you the chance to win dinner for four at 12 (!) Frankfort Avenue restaurants.
