    Bit to Do

There'll be smoke on the water this weekend with two Louisville-area Halloween events.  Sure the hedonistic, candy-infested treat bags will fill with plenty on Sunday, but check out these two pre-game Halloween events for the whole family around town.

The Bass Pro Shop, located in Clarksville at 951 East Lewis and Clark Parkway will host the FREE "it's a Great Pumpkin" Halloween family event this weekend. I know, intriguing, right?  The event begins on Friday with trick-or-treating from 4-8:00pm throughout the store.  According to Tina Tucker, Bass Pro's Special Events Coordinator, last weekend's 16 trick-or-treating stations went through almost $800 worth of candy, so get there early.  Friday night will also feature a costume parade from 6-7 and craft making Halloween bags from 4-6. On Saturday, take your photo with the Peanuts Gang (12-5), create a pumpkin bird house at the crafts station (2-4), and roast marshmellows or sample apple cobbler from a giant dutch oven in the store's parking lot (12-2).  Now there's something different...

If Indiana or the Bass Pro aren't your thing, try the Halloween Boo Cruise on the Belle of Louisville.  This second annual event is a family-friendly celebration that features live music, on-board trick-or-treating, a costume parade, and various games and prizes.  The ship will be decorated for the event, so suit up the family in their costumes from 12-2:00 p.m. this Saturday, October 30th.  Reservations are still available for this unique opportunity.
