Two locally loved events - "Bardstown Bound" BooFest and the Caufields Halloween parade have joined spirits and have added a Fall Festival to benefit The Home of the Innocents to kick off the Halloween season on Friday evening, October 10.

Once again, merchants and restaurants along Bardstown Road and Baxter Avenue will celebrate the Highlands by opening their doors and presenting another fun-filled witching hour of a night beginning at 5:00 P.M. The parade will start at 6:30 on Bardstown Road and travel north on Bardstown Road and Baxter Avenue to The Home of the Innocents at 1100 East Market.

The Fall Festival will run from 5:00 to 9:00 P.M. on the campus of The Home; admission to the Festival is free. The combination of Louisville's frightenly fun Caufields Parade, trick or treat stations along the way, Bardstown Bound BooFest and the Festival will give everyone a chance to eat, drink, shop and be scary!

Special celebrity Grand Marshal, Tony Vanetti and family will lead the parade in an official hearse, then tour the participating businesses on Bardstown Road to judge the "most haunted business" on the strip.

The Parade is expected to draw up to 100 units of all types, and the public - as always - will be invited to join the parade near the end and march the rest of the route with the Baxter Avenue Morgue unit.

Admission to the Fall Festival is free, with a charge for food, beverage, and some activities and will feature entertainment, food and children's activities.

Shops and restaurants north and south of Eastern Parkway will feature seasonal food samples, Bubbly Boo beverages and all type of merchandise to celebrate the season. A portion of their sales that evening will be donated to The Home of the Innocents.

Bardstown Bound's BootFest cast will pass out goodies for kids of all ages along the route, and Trick or Treat stations on Baxter from Broadway to Lexington Road will hand out treats.
