Celebrating its 10th anniversary subscriber season, Pandora Productions presents its lineup for the 2014-15 theater season.
During the 2014-15 theater season, Pandora Productions will present five shows: My Big Gay Italian Funeral (September), Perfect Arrangement (November), Cock (January 2015), Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them (March 2015), and Yank! (May 2015). Performances will go on at the Henry Clay Theatre, located on the third floor of the Henry Clay Building at 604 S. Third Street in Old Louisville.
Season tickets are now on sale for $80 per adult, $70 per senior citizen, and $70 per student. Tickets for Pandora's annual Masquerade event can also be purchased for $55 per person. All tickets can be purchased at the Pandora Productions website.
Pandora opens the season with My Big Gay Italian Funeral. A sequel to another recently-performed Pandora show, My Big Gay Italian Wedding, the Pinnunziato family returns with its wacky ways and various ideas on how to pay tribute to the passing of their patriarch. The show runs September 11-21.
A Perfect Arrangement of a play will follow in the fall, focusing on two couples who have secrets to reveal as 1950s McCarthy-ism looks to take homosexuals out of their State Department. This arrangement takes place Nov. 13-23.
Following in the new year is Cock, a show that looks at sexuality, identity, and certainty as one member of a gay couple winds up falling for a woman. The play runs Jan. 8-18.
Coming together for the spring, meanwhile, is Edith Can Shoot Things and Hit Them, focusing on a trio of young kids who, left alone in a rural farmhouse thanks to the mother of two of them dying and the father leaving them, find themselves relying on each other for survival. This production runs March 5-15.
Last, but certainly not least, Pandora will end its season with Yank! Go back into time with WWII-era music that will also serve as a backdrop for the love story of a Midwestern-kid-turned-WWII-era-photographer who finds himself falling for one of the servicemen. That production will take place May 14-24.
