Self discovery, fantasies, and eating quiche are among the themes found in Pandora Productions' 2012-13 theatre season.

During the 2012-13 season, Pandora Productions will present five shows:  Kiss of the Spiderwoman (September), Velma and Louise's Holiday Balls (Nov.-Dec.), Abraham Lincoln Was a Faggot (March 2013), Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story (May 2013), and 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche (June 2013).

Two special shows will also be presented, including Naked Boys Singing (Oct.-Nov.) at The Connection Theatre, and the staged reading 8 (Jan. 2013) at the Henry Clay Theatre.

Season tickets are available for the five mainstage shows for only $80 per person.  Tickets for Naked Boys Singing can be added for an extra $20, and 8 can be added for $15 more.  All season tickets can be purchased, and more information can be found, through the Pandora Productions website.

Opening the Pandora season is Kiss of the Spiderwoman, which features one inmate in a Latin American prison sharing fantasies with another inmate.  The Best Musical Tony Award winner will run from Sept. 13-23.

Velma and Louise's Holiday Balls, an original play from Jim Hesselman, makes sure that cable access shows won't be the same, especially when a famous quartet creates frosted balls for the Christmas tree.  The production takes place from Nov. 29-Dec. 9.

Beginning in the spring is Abraham Lincoln Was a Faggot, which deals with a high school student trying to show Abraham Lincoln was gay.  During the study, he discovers more about his own sexuality.  The performances run March 14-24.

Continuing the spring season will be Thrill Me: The Leopold and Loeb Story, which focuses on the duo of thrill killers and their obsessive relationship during the 1920s.  Thrill Me run May 9-19.

Pandora's last mainstage show of the 2012-13 season is 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche, which focuses on a quiche breakfast put on by the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein.  The performances run June 20-30.

Naked Boys Singing and 8, meanwhile, round out the Pandora special shows.  Naked Boys Singing features eight guys performing 16 songs in the buff.  That show runs from Oct. 25- Nov. 4.  Meanwhile, 8 will be a staged reading based on Proposition 8, a California law and case that barred gay marriage.  The readings will occur Jan. 3-5.
