My new favorite items at Trader Joe’s

It’s a new year, and we should all make resolutions to eat more delicious food. Here is a list of some great items at our local Trader Joe’s:

Coffee Bean Blast Ice Cream – I just polished off a quart of this, and it is amazingly good. Smooth, creamy, rich, and intensely-flavored. It has a great coffee flavor, and it is studded with tiny dots of espresso beans. Yum.

Harvest Grains Blend – This is a hearty mixture of Israeli couscous, orzo, baby garbanzo beans, and red quinoa. It is wonderful in soup, but I also like to simply boil it and enjoy with a little pasta sauce.

Frozen shelled edamame – Healthy, easy, and delicious. Great to boil or sauté.

Reduced Guilt Chunky Guacamole with Greek Yogurt – This is a creamy, delicious version of guacamole with a great tang from the yogurt. I like to eat it with fresh French bread.

Viennese Lemon Tart – This is a giant circle of lemon bar-y goodness. Crumbly crust, intense lemon filling, and a beautiful dusting of powdered sugar. I like to buy a whole one, cut into small slices, package, and freeze for portion control. It kinda works, but it sure doesn’t last long.

Their dark chocolate-covered blueberries aren’t bad, either. :)

Check ‘em out. You won’t be sorry!
