This Friday, May 8th, Mercury Ballroom will be the first venue to host Minus the Bear on their Spring Anniversary tour. Guitarist Dave Knudson, vocalist/guitarist Jake Snider, bassist Cory Murchy, and keyboardist Alex Rose are celebrating the anniversary of their 2004 album They Make Beer Commercials Like This. The tour includes full album sets, as well as, special surprise sets. Joining them on tour is, Into It. Over It., an indie rock solo project by Chicago based musician, Evan Thomas.

The Seattle-based band is impressive not only because they've been charming audiences for more than 10 years, but because their progressive rock structures are inherently intriguing to just about everyone. They mix mellow vocals with upbeat, catchy rhythms that creates paradoxical qualities that have satisfied curiosities and earned the band quite the robust following. Their 2012 album, Infinity Overhead, was ranked #31 on Billboard 200.

Tickets are $22 in advance and can be purchased here or at The Louisville Palace Box Office.
