The Louisville Cardinals weren't the only local soccer team in action this past weekend.  The Louisville Lightning scored 25 goals against Evansville while allowing only 3 in their victory at Mockingbird Valley Soccer Complex last Friday night.

It was the second win in a week for the Lightning as they look to get even against the San Diego Sockers this weekend at home.  The Sockers, reigning PASL Champions, beat the Lightning two weeks ago when the team traveled to the West Coast.

While 25 is a lot of goals, even for indoor soccer, the Lightning recognize San Diego will be a much tougher team.  They hope a home field advantage will play in their favor, much the same way San Diego's spirited fans helped the results out in CA.

The game is set for Friday night at 8 pm.  Tickets can be purchased in advance at Mockingbird Valley Soccer.
