    This weekend, most of the fun at the libraries is waiting for the kids; remember area libraries are closed on Labor Day, Monday, September 1.

    Friday, August 29, 10am

    “I Love My Family” is a special storytime for 3-5 year olds at the Main Library in downtown Louisville. Learn about family trees and hear special stories all about the ones you love during this program to celebration Local History month; make a craft as well. Call 502-574-1620; 301 York Street

    Saturday, August 30, 2pm

    The children’s library staff at Southwest Library really knows how to put on a great party! Today they are hosting a Lego Party, and challenge kids to be awesome at anything. Imagine it. Build it. For all ages. Call 502-933-0029; 10375 Dixie Highway

    Oldham County Public Library teens have a pool party coming to them, don’t forget! It’s from 7:30pm-9:30pm at the Oldham County Aquatic Center in La Grange. Teens who read two books during the summer received a ticket to attend.

    Visit the Jeffersonville Township Public Library booth at ClarkFest on 9/1 from 10am-3pm! The free event features food, entertainment, art, music, a car show, and a parade.

    Monday, September 1 is Labor Day. Many area libraries are closed in observance of the National Holiday. Be sure to stock up on your library books over the weekend before Monday arrives!

    Tuesday, September 2

    Oldham County Public Library has four great program offerings: Toddler Time beginning at 10am, Preschool Story Time beginning at 11am, Drop-In Lego Fun at 4pm, and a Mad Science for Adults event at 6:30pm. That’s a whole lot of fun for a Tuesday in the OC! Call the Main Library to find out more about these programs and see if there is a sign-up involved. 502-222-9713
