The Afternoon Lecture Series at historic Locust Grove will host the Louisville Dulcimer Society on Wednesday, December 5, at 1:00 p.m.  According to Mary Beth Williams, Program Director at Locust Grove, the concert is an annual tradition.

“The holiday concert is a fun way to kick off the holiday season.  Despite their name, the Louisville Dulcimer Society members play a variety of instruments,” said Mary Beth Williams.

Dessert and coffee will be served at 1:00 pm, and the concert is scheduled to start at 1:15 p.m.

The Locust Grove Afternoon Lecture Series is held the first Wednesday of each month as a way to educate the public, as well as the Historic Locust Grove members and volunteers. According to Mary Beth, most lectures focus on early Kentucky history and topics related to the time period of Locust Grove, as well as topics on early Kentucky history.

Admission is $5, $3 for members of Historic Locust Grove.  Reservations are not required, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early for best seating.
