Was just at the Green Building, meeting with Gill Holland for a story I'm working on for "Louisville Magazine." As always, he played me some music from a band on his record label, sonaBLAST! Records. This time, it was this music video by local band the Pass, who are currently working on a full-length album and have a five-song EP out now.

I told Holland that the song, "Colors," reminds me of Phoenix. Translation: It's some of the catchiest, most danceable stuff I've heard in a while. On June 5, it's worth mentioning, the Pass will play Zanzabar (2100 S. Preston St.) to raise money to buy a tour van. I saw the Whigs at Zanzabar in February. It's the perfect intimate venue for a dance party.
