    Bit to Do

Haymarket Whiskey Bar hosts three bands on Halloween night that will take you back to the 80s in style. Italian electronic band JoyCut opens for two hometown favorites -- the Deloreans will be doing David Bowie covers in full costume, and The Pass will also be featuring 80s favorites. So, you have the theme, now all you have to do is dig out those fabulous 80s duds at the back of the closet and add some makeup and hair gel.

For those unfamiliar with JoyCut, you can check out some of their music on SoundCloud and in the video posted below. Their latest release is "PiecesOfUsWereLeftOnTheGround." A recent review on MTVIggy.com has this to say about the Bologna-based band: "This Italian outfit floats gracefully along a tightrope between experimental and accessible, mixing found sounds with real-life instrumentation over an electronic bedrock. The vibe is murky, yet oftentimes ecstatic — dark wave that isn’t so downtrodden; post-rock with room for exploring ideas about time, space and self." Got it? It sounds like an interesting night, especially if they wear those awesome chicken and bunny masks.

Tickets are $10 and you can get them in advance from Guest Room Records and Astro Black Records, as well as BrownPaperTickets online. This is a 21 and over show.
