This week really gears up towards the weekend, with the return of a Louisville favorite band and summer-time event. For location, time and cost, click on the link for each event. Check back at livemusiclou.com after the events for our full reviews.
Sunday (5/17) -
Dan Deacon with Prince Rama and Ben O’Brien
Zanzabar will jumpstart the week with an electronic synth-y evening featuring Dan Deacon, Prince Rama and Ben O’Brien. Deacon’s live shows are known for being very interactive, so those in the audience should be ready for anything.
Tuesdsay (5/18) –
En route to Summer Camp Music Festival, Twiddle and Dopapod will be co-headlining their show at Headliners. It will be a fun midweek evening full of diverse jam music from both groups.
Thursday (5/21) -
Rye Back Porch Sessions with Old Baby, Bitchin Bajas, and Dream Eye Color Wheel
Thursday’s show kicks off this monthly, free summer series at Rye on Market. Louisville rockers Old Baby will headline the event on Rye’s back porch after New Albanians Dream Eye Color Wheel start the evening. The bands, while all with their own eccentricities, fit together nicely for this month’s event.
Friday (5/19) -
J Roddy Walston with Avers and Graffiti
J Roddy Walston returns to Louisville with support from Avers and a great local opener in Graffiti. We anticipate both nights being good ones as J Roddy and crew always bring an outrageous amount of energy.
Caleb Johnson with Stereo Empire
The super cool guys of Louisville’s own Stereo Empire will be opening up for American Idol winner Caleb Johnson.
Saturday (5/20) -
J Roddy Walston with Avers and Hot Wires
Night number two with J Roddy Walston will include another local opener in the Hot Wires. J Roddy Walston has become a local favorite so this second evening should be another rowdy one.
