Les Filles Boutique is a locally owned and operated boutique that provides Louisville shoppers with local and national artist’s items which are not available in mass production. Customers truly purchase “one of a kind item’s” co-owner Melissa Murphy explained. Les Filles opened its doors in November 2009 with a beautiful location in Louisville’s Westport Village Shopping Complex by co-owners Cathy Akright and Melissa Murphy. “Les Filles” means “The Girls” in French which is representation of the owners.
Walking into the boutique you will first notice the chic décor and amazing merchandise which can keep jewelry and accessory lovers busy for hours. Some of this writers’ favorite designers and brands from Les Filles include Bridgewater Candles, Posh Ponytails, Southern Charms, Live Wires, Thallo Greek, Jill Brislin, House of Ruth, Shari Dixon, Kameleon Sterling Silver and Swarovski crystal interchangeable ring; and those are to name a few. This boutique has a large variety of beautiful, one of a kind item’s that are a must to check out for any season. The average price range is $30.00 to $50.00; however there are some prices lower than $30.00 and higher $50.00 which is perfect for any budget.
Akright and Murphy came up with the idea to open a boutique that specializes in artisan designs after attending several local and national art shows. The unique boutique is truly reminiscent of local art shows, which happen most frequently during the summer season. If you like to shop for jewelry and accessories and do not want to wait for the next art show, Les Filles Boutique is open 7 days a week with new summer hours. Their new hours are Monday thru Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Akright and Murphy also hold Artisan trunk shows throughout the year to give their clients the extra opportunity to interact and shop with their favorite designers; be sure to check with the store for their next event.
